NORDIC OIL AND GAS TOPS 1 MILLION
CUBIC FEET PER DAY IN NATURAL GAS PRODUCTION
WINNIPEG, MB. (January 17, 2005) - Donald Benson, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Nordic Oil and Gas Ltd. is pleased to announce that Natural Gas production at the Company's property in Joffre, Alberta now exceeds one million cubic feet per day
The increased production levels came about as a result of a workover of the Nordic well located at 6-20-38-24W4 in Joffre. The well was tested at 500 cubic feet per day and was eventually turned on at 300 cubic feet per day. Additional work will be required on the Company's latest well at 3-18-38-25 W4 before testing can commence.
"This places the Company in a very strong position to begin the New Year," Mr. Benson stated. "The additional production will certainly mean added revenues for the Company moving forward.
"In addition, we have a number of exciting initiatives on the horizon which give us even more optimism for 2005," he added. In particular, he noted that Nordic Oil and Gas was in the final stages of negotiation to acquire a significant interest in a large block of highly prospective land in Saskatchewan.
"We are very excited about the potential this property holds for us," Mr. Benson said. "When finalized, it will complement our Joffre and Preeceville, Saskatchewan activities very nicely, and will result in Nordic Oil and Gas having three prospective areas in Western Canada."
