NORDIC OIL AND GAS DRILLS NEW COAL BED METHANE WELL AT JOFFRE

Second and Third CBM Wells to be Drilled This Week

WINNIPEG, MB. (JANUARY 30, 2006) - Donald Benson, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Nordic Oil and Gas Ltd., today announced that the Company and its industry partner have completed drilling the Coal Bed Methane (CBM) well at 10-18-38-24 W4 in Joffre. This well will be paid for 100% by Nordic’s 50/50 partner.

With the completion of this first well, the rig has now moved to a second site at 14-18-38-24, and that well will be drilled shortly. From there, the rig will be moved on to a third site at 7-18-38-24 W4 where another well will be drilled later this week.

“These are certainly exciting times for Nordic Oil and Gas,” Mr. Benson stated. “Finally, we are starting to realize our potential in Joffre where we have an interest in 11 sections of land.”

With the advent of down-spacing to four wells per pool per section, the Company has a vast inventory of drilling locations. “We expect to drill 15 wells on our Joffre property in 2006,” Mr. Benson added.
