Growth Through Successful Exploration and Drilling Strategies

Joffre Property

The Joffre region in Alberta is one of Western Canada's most active, having been explored and produced for many years. Located approximately 30 kilometres northeast of Red Deer, the Nordic Oil and Gas property is comprised of approximately 4,480 gross acres of P & NG leases in one of the richest hydrocarbon regions of the province. A proven oil and gas region, Joffre consists of existing Natural Gas production along with a significant land base with strong development opportunities.

Nordic's land holdings in Joffre include an interest in 8 sections of land, which contain coal seams in the Horseshoe Canyon formation at a depth of approximately 300 - 500 metres. It is thought that the Coal Bed Methane from these seams is capable of producing 200 to 300 MCF/D. Downspacing is being applied for and if approved, will allow the Company to license up to eight wells per section for CBM production. Currently, four CBM wells per section can be licensed.

The Company announced in August of this year that it had put on to production its three Coal Bed Methane wells in Joffre, Alberta that were drilled in 2006 in conjunction with its Joint Venture partner - 10-18-38-24 W4; 7-24-38-25 W4; and, 14-18-38-24 W4. Nordic’s geologist is currently working on mapping the CBM on the Company’s land in Joffre, and upon completion Nordic will have its reservoir engineer re-evaluate the reserves in the area.

Nordic now has nine wells on production at Joffre.

Furthermore, the Company is also about to tie-in its 5-18-38-24 W4 Belly River well at Joffre, and is re-working its 6-24-38-25 W4, 3-18-38-24 W4 and 10-12-38-24 W4 wells, also in Joffre.
