NORDIC’S 16-20-38-24 W4 WELL IN JOFFRE NOW ON PRODUCTION
WINNIPEG, MB. (March 1, 2007) - Donald Benson, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Nordic Oil and Gas Ltd. (TSXV: NOG) (“the Company”), today announced that the Company’s 16-20-38-24 W4 well in Joffre, Alberta, Canada has been placed on production. Initial production will be approximately 200 mcf/day, and will be gradually increased over time.
The 16 of 20 well was drilled and cased in November to a depth of 915 metres into the Basal Belly River formation. In late November, Nordic announced that the analysis on the well had been completed and that initial interpretations indicated a presence of natural gas in the middle and upper Belly River zones.
“We are obviously delighted to bring this new well on to production,” Mr. Benson stated, adding that this now brings to six the number of wells in Joffre that Nordic has on production.
In addition, Mr. Benson indicated that the Company’s 16-12-38-25 W4 well, also in Joffre, should be put on production sometime in March.
The Company also has three Coal Bed Methane wells standing at Joffre. It is anticipated that these wells will be on stream in the second quarter of 2007.
Nordic Oil and Gas is a junior oil and gas exploration company, which is listed on the TSX Venture Exchange and trades under the symbol NOG.
