Nordic Oil and Gas Ltd. to Undertake Hydrocarbon Soil Gas Surveys at Preeceville         

Fluid Lift System Installed at 16-20-38-24 W4 Well in Joffre

WINNIPEG, MB. (October 18, 2007) - Donald Benson, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Nordic Oil and Gas Ltd. (“Nordic” or the “Corporation”), today announced that the Corporation has engaged the services of Petro-Find Geochem Ltd. to undertake hydrocarbon soil gas surveys in its two most northerly townships in Preeceville, Saskatchewan, Canada. These surveys will assist Nordic in making a qualified and informed decision as to where it will drill its next well in the Preeceville area.

“Petro-Find Geochem is engaged in research and development of new exploration and environmental concepts and methods reducing risk at every stage of the exploration process,” said Mr. Benson. “Soil gas surveys can quickly ascertain, at low cost, the oil and gas potential over wide regions as well as pinpoint areas for focused exploration and follow-up.

“The information gathered from these surveys will allow us to identify our next well location at Preeceville, which we anticipate drilling in the summer of 2008,” he added.

In further news, Mr. Benson also announced today that a fluid lift system has now been installed in the Corporation’s 16-20-38-24 W4 well in Joffre, Alberta. In addition, a fluid lift system will be installed shortly at Nordic’s 15-12-38-25 W4 well, also in Joffre.
