SHOOTING OF SEISMIC UNDERWAY ON COTE FIRST NATION LAND

COMPANY ALSO FILES FOR DOWN SPACING IN THREE SECTIONS AT JOFFRE

WINNIPEG, MB. (September 16, 2005) ­ Donald Benson, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Nordic Oil and Gas Ltd., today announced that the Company has commenced the shooting of 28.2 kilometres of seismic on its Cote First Nation land near Kamsack, Saskatchewan. A total of four lines of seismic will be shot over the Cote lands.

The shooting of the seismic is being done by Kinetex Inc., providers of low environmental land seismic data acquisition, seismic drilling, and seismic data services to the domestic and international petroleum industry.

Mr. Benson stated that while Nordic Oil and Gas is confident of the shallow gas prospects on the Cote First Nation land, "we also feel that there could be additional opportunities here and that the seismic data will help us identify deeper prospective formations."

Western Warner Oils Ltd., Nordic's joint venture partner, signed an Agreement with Indian Oil and Gas Canada (IOGC) and the Cote First Nation in February of this year for development of oil and gas resources on 14,355 gross acres of land owned by Cote First Nation. The parties have been granted access to the property to undertake exploration activities via an Oil and Gas Permit received from IOGC.

It is expected that the shooting of the seismic will be completed shortly and that processing of the data will begin immediately thereafter.

In addition to this news, Mr. Benson also announced that Desoto Resources Ltd., another of Nordic's joint venture partners, has applied for down spacing on three sections of land they own in Joffre ­ 18-38-24-W4, 20-38-24 W4 and 24-38-25-W4. The down spacing will allow the Companies to drill four wells per pool, per section in the Edmonton and Belly River zones.

"When the application is approved, we will then have access to as many as 20 new drilling locations on these lands," Mr. Benson added.
